Master of Counselling Psychology Candidate (City University of Seattle)
Therapist Intern
Over the past 20 years, I’ve cultivated a personal and professional practice that weaves together meditation, yoga, and psychoanalysis—tools that have not only supported my own healing but have also fuelled my passion for accompanying others on their path toward wellness.
I believe that the healing process in therapy begins with the ability to pause, observe what you are experiencing, make sense of it, and begin to build new paths that better serve the person you are today. I see therapy as a collaborative process—one that unfolds at your own pace, in a space of care, honesty, and curiosity. Together, we will explore not only your struggles but also your strengths and hopes.
I am particularly passionate about working with young adults and parents. Motherhood has been one of the most transformative experiences of my life, deepening my understanding of emotional development and strengthening my commitment to helping parents connect with and attune to their children’s needs. As an immigrant, I also understand the complex realities of navigating new cultural identities, and I bring this lived experience into my work in ways that help clients feel seen, understood, and supported.

Therapy is a space to bring your confusion, worry, anger and sadness, without having to hide it or push through on your own. If you’re used to numbing out or criticizing yourself to get through the hard times – we’ll do it differently.
I believe there is wisdom and courage hidden in the behaviours we develop to survive the difficult things we live through, even when these patterns leave us trapped in destructive habits, despair or bad relationships. When we find the good intentions behind our old strategies, we find the key to building the life we want.
I help people through trauma, grief, gender and sexuality struggles, spiritual questions, religious wounding, medical crises and all sorts of life transitions. We will look for what brings you meaning while growing skills to develop honesty, authenticity and well-being.
I use talk therapies, mindfulness approaches (to be present, on purpose, without judgment) and somatic approaches (working with the whole nervous system, not just the brain) to find what will help you best in your real life.
I bring to this work a decade as a Buddhist monastic and two decades of meditation practice, with a background in the arts and a passion for neuroscience. Outside of psychotherapy, I regularly teach mindfulness and meditation to religious and non-religious people from all walks of life.
Past clients have said I have a talent for hearing what’s being said behind the words, for encouraging people to find their own goodness and for sharing big concepts in practical ways that can be applied in real life.

In practice since 2008, I have worked with diverse communities to support healing, connection, and growth. I have a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology and further post-graduate training in the treatment of trauma and anti-oppressive practice. As an educator, I have taught university psychology courses, lead community workshops and clinical trainings in mindfulness-based approaches to healing, and mentored dozens of therapists and students as a clinical supervisor.
My work as a mindfulness-based psychotherapist is grounded in my own personal practice. A practitioner of meditation since 1999 and a mindfulness educator since 2004, I am a graduate of a Buddhist seminary and meditation instructor training program.
I believe that having diverse interests and being active in my community strengthens my work as a psychotherapist. A commitment to ongoing learning means that I continue to explore an interdisciplinary dialogue at the intersections of psychology, philosophy, art, science and social justice.

Therapist Intern
I bring over 20 years of experience supporting individuals through trauma, transition, chronic pain, and spiritual inquiry. My practice weaves together mindfulness, somatic presence, and deep listening — grounded in respect for each person’s innate wisdom.
I’m especially drawn to supporting those navigating grief, identity transformation, abuse recovery, spiritual harm, and the complexities of living in bodies that hold pain — visible or invisible. This includes women and nonbinary folks, LGBTQ+ and racialized clients, and anyone seeking reconnection and resilience.
My training in contemplative movement, somatics, and Buddhist contemplative traditions allows me to support people beyond cognition — through the body, through presence, and through care.
I don’t aim to fix what’s broken, but to witness what’s unfolding. Healing is not linear — it emerges in spirals and waves. Beneath everything, I believe each person holds the goodness, strength and creativity they need – it is always an honour to walk alongside.

What is your version of a meaningful life?
My approach to therapy is grounded in the present moment. What unfolds in the here and now – in your body, emotions, and thoughts – is one of the most valuable sources of information we can bring attention to. Together, we will explore what arises through simple experiments, compassionate inquiry, and meaningful dialogue. I believe in the power of a good conversation, especially one that stretches to include more of who we are.
I am passionate about working with people who find themselves at a crossroads in life – whether through a change in circumstances such as the ending of a relationship, the loss of a loved one, a recent diagnosis, or a shift in identity. These moments can be deeply influential, and therapy can provide support as you look for new ways of relating to life and making sense of where you are now.
Outside the therapy room, I walk a contemplative path rooted in Buddhist meditation and reflection. I’m deeply interested in the intersection between spiritual insights and psychotherapy, and in how the wisdom of both traditions can help us meet life as it is.
