The healing process begins with the ability to pause, observe what you are experiencing and make sense of it – this is a space of warmth, honesty and curiosity you might be longing for. From here we can build new paths that better serve the person you are today.

My approach to therapy blends advanced training in psychodynamic therapies with mindfulness-based approaches, grounded in decades of experience practising and teaching meditation and yoga. These are practices that bring depth to our lives, warmth to our relationships, and connect us to our own capacity for insight.

I am particularly passionate about working with relational traumas, the challenges of parenting and family relationships, with young adults and people looking to make sense of their difficult childhoods. I understand the complex realities of navigating cultural identities – my lived experience as an immigrant informs my ability to help people with diverse life experiences feel seen, understood, and supported.

Therapy with me is a collaborative process that unfolds at your own pace, in a space of care, honesty, and curiosity. Together we will explore not only your struggles but also your strengths, hopes, and what makes your life meaningful.

In practice since 2008, I have worked with diverse communities to support healing, connection, and growth. I have a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology and further post-graduate training in the treatment of trauma and anti-oppressive practice. As an educator, I have taught university psychology courses, lead community workshops and clinical trainings in mindfulness-based approaches to healing, and mentored dozens of therapists and students as a clinical supervisor.

My work as a mindfulness-based psychotherapist is grounded in my own personal practice. A practitioner of meditation since 1999 and a mindfulness educator since 2004, I am a graduate of a Buddhist seminary and meditation instructor training program.

I believe that having diverse interests and being active in my community strengthens my work as a psychotherapist. A commitment to ongoing learning means that I continue to explore an interdisciplinary dialogue at the intersections of psychology, philosophy, art, science and social justice.

My practice weaves together mindfulness, somatic presence, and deep listening — grounded in respect for each person’s innate wisdom. I bring over 20 years of experience supporting individuals through trauma, transition, chronic pain, and spiritual inquiry.

I’m especially drawn to supporting those navigating grief, identity transformation, abuse recovery, spiritual harm, and the complexities of living in bodies that hold pain — visible or invisible. This includes women and nonbinary folks, LGBTQ+ and racialized clients, and anyone seeking reconnection and resilience.

My training in contemplative movement, somatics, and Buddhist contemplative traditions allows me to support people beyond cognition — through the body, through presence, and through care.

I don’t aim to fix what’s broken, but to witness what’s unfolding. Healing is not linear — it emerges in spirals and waves. Beneath everything, I believe each person holds the goodness, strength and creativity they need – it is always an honour to walk alongside.

I view therapy as a creative process. A creative process requires connection, trust, and a sense of humour. I bring over a decade of experience in the arts to my work as a psychotherapist, and have spent my life building supportive spaces where we try things, fail productively, and sometimes reach breakthroughs collaboratively. Together we will investigate the nuances of your story and explore alternate ways of being with your thoughts, feelings, mind and body.

I’m queer, and work with individuals and couples from a relational, attachment-focused, and trauma-informed perspective. I have concentrated experience working with queer people, attachment issues, chronic shame, and trauma processing. I bring evidence-based somatic mindfulness and self-compassion techniques to my work with people navigating issues with relationships, intimacy and sex, life transitions, self-esteem, anxiety, and depression.

Attachment therapy explores how we’ve learned to connect with others early in life and how that’s echoed in our connection with ourselves and our partners. My responsibility is to attend to our relationship with curiosity and openness. I will encourage you to turn to yourself with the same care, so that your connection with yourself begins to feel like home.
